Greeley's manuscript contains a series of resolutions concerning the election of President Grant, corrupt practices by the Democratic Party, New York governor John T. Hoffman's betrayal of the rights of legal voters, the Tammany Society, the passage of the Fifteenth Amendment, the rejection of property qualifications for colored voters, the national debt, the destiny of North America and the struggle for liberty in Cuba, and the election of the Republicans in New York elections.
